We feel the NAR settlement was a disgusting fee grab, by the worst type of lawyer, that engaged the lawsuit for the sole purpose of exploiting and extracting as much money for their personal benefit as possible. In no way at all does this settlement benefit the consumer. It complicates the process, creates less transparency, where there were no set fees EVER. Sellers were always able to engage with For Sale By Owner with no listing agent commission paid. There has never been a REQUIREMENT to offer buyer broker compensation, but it has always typically been in the sellers' best interest. I will dive deeper into all of this in our BLOG. We will continue to operate with the highest level of ethical integrity and transparency, for the best interest of our clients and the industry as a whole. By the way, the class action attorney just requested 33% of the settlement received to date for their compensation, that is $69 Million dollars. That is what this case was about. The attorneys "customary" 33% compensation.
